are going really well... we do not want work to become our lives. We both just moved here and there is SOOOOOO much to see and do, that we can NOT possibly just let every weekend get away from us by either going in to work or sitting on the couch lesson planning and such... therefore,we instituted MUSEUM SUNDAYS!!!
It began as a GRAND PLAN to have us set aside time EVERY Sunday to do one of the Smithsonian Museums or some other DC sight. Well then, reality struck and we realized... a more attainable goal would probably be "at least once a month"
And so, we began!
First was the November visit to the Museum of American History where we saw Dorothy's Ruby Slippers, Kermit the Frog and Julia Child's kitchen (among other important historical things...)

We added in a Thursday and Friday night of Christmas tree looking, as we went to the White House Christmas Tree a few weeks ago.
My friend scored some tickets to the lighting ceremony and it was awesome!!
This is one of my MOST favorite events in DC every year and it was AWESOME to be there for the actual lighting. And then to go back the next day when it wasn't AS crowded.

This past weekend we went to the Hirshhorn Museum and saw the sculpture gardens and the Andy Warhol exhibits.

Next up, I think we are going to try and go to Arlington National Cemetery to see all of the wreaths on the graves, it is suppose to be amazing!
I like Museum Sundays... we have a lot to see...stay tuned!
