DC Weekend March 25, 2011

On February 15, 2008 my amazing niece, Cailyn, was born. By February 18, 2008 we knew more about epilepsy then we ever thought possible.
Since then my family has been participating in the National Epilepsy Walk on the Mall in Washington DC each year.
This year my cousin, Charlotte, my father and I joined Cailyn's Crusaders for the walk.
It snowed in the beginning of the morning and stayed pretty chilly throughout the day. Layering clothes is essential. But this is always a really pretty time of year to be in DC.
It's cheery blossom season and the sky is beginning to remember what the color blue looks like.
I'm sure we will continue to be active in the search for a cure. For more information about how you can help or join us for next year's walk please visit: http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/
