This past weekend I visited my brother and family in beautiful Breckenridge. My sister-in-law's parents have an amazing home in CO so my brother and family drove up from ABQ and I flew in Friday night after work. It was a great MLK weekend.
Saturday, Tas, Frank and I rode the gondola up to Peak 8 and Tasman taught me the art of drinking hot chocolate and people watching in the Peak 8 restaurant. Frank saw Shaun White practicing his snowboarding jumps and flips.Sunday morning, Jen and I went for a good hike through some of the old mines and such. (see pictures below)
Then Sunday afternoon we took Mattie and Tas to their first movie. Beauty and the Beast!!
They loved it! Mattie kept commenting on how "This is just like the book!"
On Monday, we went sledding at Carter Park. It was a snow-filled day and a lot of fun going down hill, pulling the kids back up = a bit of a workout!
After sledding, it continued to snow, so we spent some time shoveling the driveway.
Breckenridge is a beautiful place. I definitely plan to visit again.
