Last Saturday my roommate came home to water running down the wall of the bathroom from the apartment above. Not a good thing. We had mold, bubbles in the paint and pieces of wall coming down. We put in a maintenance request and came home Tuesday (note the lag in response time...a whole other story) to 3 men in our bathtub! I am guessing they had been there for a while because they had taken down the yucky parts of the ceiling and wall and replaced it with new drywall. We asked if they had fixed the source of the leak and we were told "Oh si, no problemo." I don't put much faith in that fact but for the time being... we have a new ceiling in the bathroom.
The silver lining... in re-doing the wall they apparently had to take down our shower curtain rod. They put it back up about a foot higher than it was...this has made the space in the shower GIGANTIC.. it's lovely. Little things make me happy!
